Weekapaug Chapel Welcomes Rabbi Alan Ullman

The Trustees of the Weekapaug Chapel are delighted to welcome the return of Rabbi Alan Ullman to lead the service at the Chapel this Sunday, August 25th.

This is the last Sunday that Sunday School will be held for the children who attend the services.  Many thanks to all who have volunteered their time to teach the children.

Rabbi Alan Ullman travels around America and Europe teaching the Bible at temples, synagogues, churches, businesses, private study groups, and retreats to people who share in the desire to study the Bible as a way to guide and inform the spiritual journey that is our lives today.  Since Mid-June he has traveled to and been teaching groups in Minnesota, Ireland, Northern Ireland and England.  He also led a hiking study trip to the Swiss Alps.  This fall he will lead a trip to Israel and then be back in Northern Ireland and Ireland teaching.

Alan was ordained by the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati in 1985 and served as Assistant Rabbi at Temple Emanuel in Worcester, Massachusetts for three years. In 1988 he founded the School for Jewish Studies, dedicated to teaching Torah to adults, which served as the foundation for his current work. His wife, Melanie, is the librarian at Temple Emanuel of Worcester, MA and Temple Shalom of Newton, MA. Rabbi Ullman will meet with those who are interested in meeting with him for further study at the end of the service.

Next Sunday, September 1st, the Chapel welcomes the return of Rev. Roy Jacobsen of Charlestown, RI.

If you are interested in singing with the Choir please remember to come at 9 am for a rehearsal.

Ecumenical services are held each week through September 8th at the Chapel at 105 Noyes Neck Rd.
